Are you looking for an opportunity to lead an expert team on immunology/biology projects for an innovative Biotech organisation based in Seattle. Whilst utilizing your experience to shape the strategy on research and non-clinical development programs.


Our client are partnering with us to hire a Senior Director of immunology/biology. The company are an established biotech in the early stages of development on a number of programs working within the areas of oncology and immunology.


The opportunity exists to lead the team of 4 to drive the development of the research strategy. This position will direct efforts in the discovery, design and evaluation of the preclinical activity of novel drug candidates both in vitro and in vivo including mode of action studies, proof of concept and mechanistic animal models, early safety assessment and immunogenicity


The main responsibilities of this position include:


Provide direction and understanding of the immunological aspects of the scientific programs.
Design and implement Immunology assays and systems, and technical advancement for various projects.
Contribute to decisions/ recommendations for strategic scientific direction of Research projects.
Engage in theoretical discussions around strategic scientific developments across projects
Lead development of new products and processes.
Participate in report writing, business development and any form of public presentations, as required for projects, including contribution to regulatory documents as projects move into the IND enabling stage.
Proven leadership with ability to delegate and generate enthusiasm to ensure timelines and goals are met.
Complete all management responsibilities, coach, develop and provide feedback to employees to enhance current performance and provide corrective counseling as necessary.

The successful Applicant will possess the following skills or attributes:

PhD in Immunology
Excellent skills in Immunology, including with mouse and human cells in both in vitro and vivo settings.
Knowledge in the areas of oncology and or autoimmunity.
A natural leader who posses experience in developing scientists
Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and achieve goals
A creative problem solver
