Our senior recruitment consultant role suits a candidate with substantial experience within agency recruitment and a strong knowledge of the 360 recruitment process. Knowledge of the life sciences sector would be beneficial, but applicants from other industries are welcomed.

Your role as a senior consultant.
Joining the team as a senior consultant means you'll be continuously identifying candidate and candidate leads for your own specialism and other areas of the business, and converting those leads into business opportunities; signing new clients and placing candidates to contribute toward the business' overall sales target. Within your role you'll be:
Proactively seeking out qualified professionals in the life sciences space, using our industry-leading tech platforms and a variety of techniques.
Screening, qualifying and assessing candidates through analysis and interview. You'll also manage their entire process from job application to post-placement, arranging interviews, briefing and debriefing your candidates between each stage and providing feedback to clients.
Working on assignments from our existing clients while identifying any opportunities to work with new ones.
Regularly approaching and engaging new businesses to partner with, using a variety of our own processes, technologies and your own sales style.
Mentoring and providing regular support for junior team members. This could include group training or providing one-on-one guidance.
Keeping tabs on the latest news in your market; you'll be responsible for a particular specialism within the life sciences industry, and you'll identify any new developments in this area. Read more on our specialisms here.
What are the qualities and experience we look for?
We're looking for experience in a recruitment or sales role from a highly organised, self-motivated individual that is driven by results. To succeed in this role you'll be:
Experienced in 360 recruitment, armed with tangible examples of your successes in any previous agency recruitment roles or high-performance sales environments.
Persistent. As with any sales role, you'll need the drive and ambition to see tricky assignments to their end, and push for information from clients, candidates or prospects.
A natural communicator. You'll be reaching out to new people every day over the phone, on video calls, via email and sometimes face-to-face. You'll need to be empathetic, an attentive listener, have an enquring mind and be an all-round people person.
IT competent and administratively sound. From MS Office to the latest recruitment tech, we use a lot of tech to support us in our roles. You'll be expected to comfortably get to grips with this, while ensuring compliance procedures are followed.
An ambitious team player. You'll be driven by your own success, while still willing to help those within your team and junior level consultants; you'll actively seek new business opportunities within your own specialism, while keeping an eye on opportunities to cross-sell other areas of SEC.
