This is a great opportunity for professionals with exceptional experience in Rare Diseases to join one of the leading biotech's on the market.

Our client is looking for a commercially minded Regional Manager to join their team of experts in the UK team. They are focused on bringing gene therapy into the commercial setting for patients and families devastated by rare and life-threatening neurological genetic diseases.
You will be accountable for building and developing professional relationships within targeted academic and referring hospitals, providing education about disease and product, supporting multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the successful introduction and use of the client's first breakthrough therapy.

The responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the VP, General Manager Italy.

-Communicate the benefits of gene therapy to target audiences and collaborate with colleagues to ensure that the client achieves Italy commercial goals
-Function as the main contact person and project leader for all aspects related to supporting gene therapy pathway at treatment centres, Centres of Excellence and referral centres
-Act as expert in gene therapy, diagnostic, reimbursement and supply chain questions in the centres
-Facilitate timely feedback to the company regarding account business trends, changes in the therapeutic landscape including competitive insights, industry issues and business opportunities and use this knowledge to further business goals.

Education and Experience

-Scientific and/or Business Bachelor degree minimum
-Minimum 7 years of experience in field-based key account positions in rare disease indications; neurology or paediatric experience preferred
-Launch experience within rare disease indications and academic hospitals required
-Track record of success in specialized service environments including hospital organizations and financial structures, patient flows to centres of excellence, ordering and reimbursement processes in in- and out-patient care
