Are you ready to take the next step in your Medical Communications career? After several years fine tuning your exceptional scientific writing skills as a Principal Writer/ STL within a medical communications company, are you are ready to take on more responsibility and move up in your career into the world's largest CRO & Biopharmaceutical services company? Take more of a driving seat on strategy and project direction as well as maintaining your previous line management experience.

The company you will working for are an award-winning Global CRO 7 Biopharmaceutical Services Company. They are the leading globally of their kind and have come to be through natural growth and expansion. So often we see their competitors acquiring other companies to try and keep up to this highly reputable healthcare organisation. You will report directly into the Director of Scientific Services and will directly manage no more than 5 individuals, split across the UK, Ireland and perhaps the US. The wider medcomms group is around 250 people so you really are joining a highly established organisation with the best support and career progression planning available.

You will be working closely with Director of Scientific Services to provide strategic direction and coordinate implementation of client communication programs, with a focus on strategy, content and overall quality of all deliverables as well as directly managing a small team.

Whilst you are likely to have already had some project coordination experience coupled with quality checking, new aspects for you to get your teeth into may well be the responsibility you will have for monitoring project costs against agreed budgets, assisting in proposals and pitches or supporting, developing and effectively managing others to achieve expected levels of performance and beyond.

About you…
You will be enthusiastic and energetic with a positive and professional attitude. Working in MedComms we know that it can be stressful at times with tight deadlines to keep to or last-minute changes needing to be made, it is important for this position you are able to remain calm in these situations and encourage the team.
Having established yourself as a competent Medical Writer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in agency side medical communications you will be looking for that next step up in responsibility. Finally, experience with direct line management is a must, even if of only one individual this will truly set you ahead of others.
