A global pharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced Area Manager to join their team and continue the journey to help healthcare professionals in their quest to see more, reach further and treat smarter.

The role

*Ensure effective execution of company strategies and tactics within assigned geographic area
*Develop effective business plans to execute selling strategies that are consistent with corporate brand and marketing plans and are tailored to customer, account and geographic context
*Measure and monitor the Area's Commercial Partners against KPIs and where necessary take corrective actions
*Identify & Implement opportunities to increase pricing and reduce distribution fees
*Understanding process of delivering results in a multi stakeholder model to effect changes in policy and practice
*Manage the relationship with the Area's network of service providers in relation to distribution and promotional/commercial services
*Assist the Corporate and BD&L Team with the integration of newly acquired/licensed assets
*To provide a clear understanding on the market dynamics in terms of prices, reimbursement, hospital sales, tenders, competing products positioning and activities
*Build strong relationships with the Area distributors/customers & recommend strategies to optimise value/price/margin, including challenging the distributors marketing plans, pushing the distributors to invest and negotiating all aspects of distributor's contracts

Education and Experience

*Substantial Pharmaceutical industry experience required with evidence of demonstrated success in managing external pharmaceutical sales/marketing service providers
*10 Years' experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing
*Direct experience of Pharmaceutical Distributor Management
*Evidence of delivering successful tender strategies for specialist secondary care products
*In depth knowledge of the market access barriers in Germany, including the tender environment for Sick Funds / Open House
*Possesses a deep understanding of the reimbursement and fulfilment pathways for medications
*Minimum of BS/BA degree in life sciences or business
