In 2010 we launched our award-winning Apprenticeship Programme. This offers 18-24 year olds the chance to start a lucrative career within the recruitment industry, based at our offices in the West End of London. In addition, this bespoke training programme gives our apprentices the opportunity to achieve an NVQ qualification within six months.
Apprenticeships offer you the chance to develop a career and get paid while you are training and learning. Our apprenticeship programme will give you the opportunity to learn the full recruitment cycle in an established company. We have been leading the recruitment industry for many years and offer apprenticeships in order to show our commitment to developing our next wave of talent in the business.
What will my work involve as an SEC Apprentice?
Your role will be to initially work with an experienced member of the recruitment team to find the best candidates for our clients across the UK, and Europe. You will also be tasked with building your own candidate network and will maximise the organisation’s revenue to ensure profitability. This will involve finding high calibre candidates through a variety of sources utilising our database, online job-boards, press advertising, social networking sites and events. Your responsibilities will develop to cover:
- Creation of shortlists of potential candidates suitable for the roles, matching their skills
- against each client’s job specification and also their culture.
- Telephone and face to face interview screening of candidates
- Maintaining up to date candidate information on our database
- Developing a pipeline of future business
- Maximising the most of the opportunities that arise and being proactive in building a
- network of clients and candidates in your specialist area

- You should have a minimum GCSE in English and Maths (grade C or above)
- Fluency in a second European language is a bonus
