SEC Reaches 25 Year MilestoneAugust 15, 2012
SEC celebrates its 25th year in business during August 2012.
During this time SEC has grown to become an innovative and award-winning recruitment provider concentrating on specific, candidate scarce markets and now has offices in London and Woking employing a team of over 60 highly skilled people. In addition, we continue to champion the development and operation of apprenticeships within the UK recruitment industry. As a result of developing our Apprenticeship Programme, more than 50 recruitment companies have copied the SEC model. Plimsoll reports now rates SEC as 6th Best Trading Partner in the Pharmaceutical Recruitment market and we have moved up to number 26 in the Recruiter Top 100 rankings.
Over the last year SEC has undergone significant cultural and structural changes, transitioning from a lifestyle, privately owned business to a commercially-run, VC backed one. Key changes have involved adaptions to management structure, the merging of two competing businesses as well as major investments, both in terms of monetary and management time, in training and development as well as rebranding – including the introduction of a full suite of marketing tools, the pivotal one being the launch of a new website.
Despite these major changes, which had an extensive impact on every single part of and person within the organisation, SEC has had no loss of performance and the merged and rebranded business has grown by 45%. During 2012 seven of the last eight months have been our best ever in 25 years.
Stuart Britton, CEO of SEC Recruitment, attributes the continued growth and longevity of SEC to one element, its people: “The unrelenting effort, positive attitude and impressive results of our people really is the key to our longevity. The business is now in a fantastic place with a clear vision and strategy with a fully involved and motivated workforce, wholly focused on growing relationships with candidates, clients, suppliers and partners.”
