The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo)
APSCo is the UK’s leading professional recruitment industry body and provide a unified powerful voice for the professional recruitment industry and its membership. Their mission is to ensure that their members offer the highest possible standards of trading practice and that they promote excellence throughout the professional recruitment industry.
APSCo provides a recognised stamp of quality assurance and members are rigorously referenced
and must adhere to a strict code of conduct. Being a member of APSCo gives our candidates and clients a guarantee of excellence, best practice, quality, integrity and expertise.
REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation)
The REC is a representative body for the UK’s £19.7 billion private recruitment and staffing industry with a membership of more than 3,600 corporate members comprising agencies and businesses from across all sectors and 5,500 members of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) made up of recruitment consultants and other industry professionals.
AS REC members, SEC work to a Code of Professional Practice. This code was created in consultation with industry stakeholders to ensure employers and jobseekers receive the highest recruitment standards. By adhering to this Code, we will:
- Always agree clear terms of business with customers as soon as possible
- Comply with all relevant legislation
- Ensure workers are suitable for client assignments
- Take up references for each member of temporary staff
- Respect client confidentiality
- Be accountable for their actions
IOR (The Institute of Recruiters)
The Institute of Recruiters is the professional body for HR, Agency and Corporate (in-house) recruiters. Stuart Britton, CEO of SEC is a Vice Chair of the IOR. 
The IOR represents professionals working in the recruitment and retention process that fall into the areas of agency recruitment, corporate recruitment and HR. As a professional body, IOR Membership levels are select, based on assessed and qualified standards.
Collectively, IOR members are involved in all aspects of the candidate’s journey. Bringing HR, Agency & In-House specialists under a single body is essential for positive collaboration towards the common goal of an efficient, seamless process. As the industry changes and new methods and technologies emerge, IOR members are connecting, sharing and collaborating on best practice internationally
